How document quality is established

Past Papers Lanka separates source proof from full content-quality proof. New paper ingestion is currently frozen while the archive is re-audited for subject, examination, year, medium, resource type, paper part and PDF quality.

Source proof

• An Official source label means the e-Thaksalawa source identity and stored original payload hash were verified.
• A Legacy archive label means the record predates the current official-source rebuild and still requires the stricter quality gate unless stronger evidence is recorded.
• Source proof alone is not treated as proof that every catalogue field has been checked against the PDF body.

Full quality proof

A record may be treated as content verified only after the document itself confirms the examination, subject, year, medium, resource type and applicable paper-part metadata, and every page has passed the advertisement and foreign-branding review. The database requires both content-metadata evidence and ad-free evidence before the strict content-verified state can be recorded.

PDF safety

• Collected files must have a valid PDF signature, open successfully and contain at least one page.
• Hashes, file size and page count are recorded for integrity checks.
• Legacy sanitized PDFs have interactive links, JavaScript, launch actions and external actions removed; sanitization does not by itself prove that visible advertisement pages are absent.
• Question papers, marking schemes and evaluation material are kept distinctly labelled.
